Thegoodpeople AB is a Swedish company owned by BSGroup Retail Consulting AB and Texo Works AB. The people behind the company are two ex colleagues who decided it was time to do business together and start sharing their own retail experience with others. Baldvin Georgsson, Managing Director, has worked as manager and specialist at Swedish retailer IKEA since the end of the 80’s – mainly within commercial activities like sales, range, new store establishment and development of concept retailing in more than 20 countries and 5 continents – from Australia to Americas. His main specialties are strategic retail establishment, global retailing and global competitor monitoring. After more than 20 years in the world’s best retail school (according to Baldvin that is IKEA) Baldvin founded BSGroup Retail Consulting AB in 2010. Today he serves retail clients all over the world and is also a popular guest lecturer on international retailing and strategic management at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. Geir Herfindal, Chairman of the board, has worked with retailing for more than 25 years, the majority of them within IKEA. His retail career has taken him on a journey around the world and he has lived and worked as manager in different countries like Austria and China. Geir’s specialities are commercial build-ups and project leading. He has also long experience from the food and beverage business. After a long career at IKEA Geir founded Texo Works AB a company specialised in retail establishment e.g. commercial build-ups and remodeling of new and existing showrooms and stores. Aleksander Milenkovic, Project Manager, is a fashion retailer who became a retail logistic manager…who became a restaurant manager… who went back to fashion … Aleksander has done a very interesting journey within retailing. After the first steps of his career at JC in Sweden where he had become Store Manager, he was recruited by Spanish giant Indidex and worked as their first Regional Manager while establishing Zara in Scandinavia. After Zara Aleksander took on a challenge at IKEA and worked as a Manager at the logistic department. Aleksander was the Recovery Manager at IKEA in Malmö, when he decided to go back to the fashion industry and ESPRIT as Merchandise Manager Mens Wear Scandinavia in Copenhagen Denmark. Aleksander is not afraid of new challenges. He loves all parts of retailing, project management and leadership and can describe it in a million words. Everything is self experienced!
